Tauranga- a pretty city with a great beach

The first stop on our trip was Tauranga. Here we had a gorgeous day. We went to town and walked about for awhile.We visited Gate Pa , A final battle site Between the British and Maori people. We walked around the Missionary House and visited the botanical garden. Once we saw the beach we knew where we were headed for the day. We went back to the ship- had lunch and gathered our beach towels and suits. We had a wonderful time catching waves and watching the beautiful scenery from the beach.
